West Brothers Construction, Inc. has been in the general contracting business since 1971, with main operations located in Columbus, Mississippi. The Company is owned by brothers, Ronnie and Steve West, who together have established West Brothers Construction as a leader in the construction industry. They are the third generation of Wests to be in the construction business, which spans more than 56 years of serving the Golden Triangle area with the time-honored tradition of honesty and reliability.

Services provided by West Brothers Construction include new construction, building renovation and design/build facilities for several markets, including educational, municipal, healthcare and business. We have experienced field personnel that are trained to supervise the scopes of all trades, and our roster of specialty subcontractors allow us to assemble project teams that can provide quality service every time. Our management staff monitors all aspects of projects, including safe practices, quality control, scheduling, cost control, and overall customer service. In addition to new construction, West Brothers Construction also provides Pre-Construction Services and Historical Restoration. Our goal is to meet the need of every client.
The estimating and project management staff of West Brothers Construction works diligently to provide pre-construction services and accurate estimates for new construction projects. Our field management and personnel consistently deliver projects on time and within budget expectations, employing detailed scheduling, proper change control, and open lines of communication among all project stakeholders.
West Brothers Construction has successfully restored multiple historic landmarks across the beautiful campuses of Mississippi State University and Mississippi University for Women. Our skilled team of field personnel and subcontractors work with architects and the Mississippi Department of Archives and History to refurbish these buildings and their original historic elements, such as plaster, wood windows and masonry.
Our pre-construction services are a clear advantage to the owner. By combining the design, engineering and construction phases under a single contract, the owner benefits from our vast history and knowledge of similar projects used to provide a concept, accurate budget, and a new facility completed in less time. The owner can be more involved with decision-making without having to attend multiple meetings with different parties, and expect fewer problems as the result of a well-defined project.
We employ a number of trades including carpenters, earthwork crews, painters, and heavy equipment operators, including a concrete forming, pouring and finishing crew. Drawing from experience, our personnel have dealt with unique situations requiring proven problem-solving skills. In addition to our own full-time employees, we have many dependable subcontractors experienced in various phases of construction, which are of the essence to our projects.
EQUIPMENT
West Brothers current equipment inventory consists of backhoes, trackhoes, dozers, loaders and dump trucks. We bid hard dollar contracts as well as time and material projects and rent our equipment fully maintained and operated.

West Brothers Construction is one of the most experienced General Contractors in northeast Mississippi and the Golden Triangle area. Industrial clients include a roster of companies such a Weyerhaeuser Company, Akzo Nobel Chemical, SeverStal, Stark Aerospace, Toyota, Talley Defense Systems, Research and Technology Corporation and AgraCell.
